Dr Muneeb Ahmed
A Bit About Your Doctor
Dr Muneeb Ahmed Yasir is a Consultant in Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology with more than 25 years of clinical experience across India, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. He has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of a broad range of diabetes and endocrine disorders, with particular experience in the management of diabetes and endocrine conditions during pregnancy.
Dr Muneeb graduated in Medicine from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bangalore University, India, in 1999. He subsequently moved to the United Kingdom, where he underwent specialist postgraduate training across various hospitals within the National Health Service (NHS) between 2002 and 2008, obtaining his MRCP (UK) qualification.
In 2008, he moved to Saudi Arabia and joined Almana General Hospital, Al Khobar, where he served as Head of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Unit from 2008 to 2017. Almana General Hospital is a major tertiary referral centre in the Eastern Province, providing specialist and multidisciplinary care to a large and diverse patient population.
Throughout his career, Dr Muneeb has developed extensive experience in managing complex diabetes and endocrine conditions, including diabetes in pregnancy, thyroid disorders, metabolic disorders and other endocrine diseases. His clinical practice is characterised by a comprehensive, evidence-based and patient-centred approach to care.
He has also been actively involved in medical education and professional development, having organised and presented at numerous seminars and academic meetings. He has contributed to discussions surrounding the appropriate and safe use of medications through his involvement with a drug advisory committee.
Dr Muneeb currently serves as the Director of Dr Ahmed’s Thyroid, Endo & Diabetes (DATED) Centre in R.T. Nagar, Bengaluru, India, where he continues to provide specialist care in diabetes and endocrinology.
With extensive international training and more than two decades of consultant-level experience, Dr Muneeb brings a broad perspective to the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders, combining his clinical experience with a commitment to evidence-based, personalised patient care.
